Behind the Wheel Card

The Driving-lessons signature object — a crafted permit-style card. A brand-yellow header band carries the title over the issuing state (or, on a guardian’s card, the student’s name). The body is ONE template for every viewer: two stacked zones that BOTH fill as the family progresses — an hours meter (the observation + supervised-practice hours, 37h) over a SafeWay-package punch-card (the prepaid drives, stamped as each is used, with the use-by date). Only the LABEL and the FOOT change by viewer: a TEEN sees “Practice hours” and just books; a GUARDIAN sees “Hours you log” (their responsibility — students can’t log) and gets a Log-hours action beside Book. An ADULT (brief §3.2) is credit-based with no logged-hours requirement, so their card drops the meter and shows just the package + book/buy. The old permit fields and the serif progress ring were dropped as the card was recast around this clearer two-zone read; the guardian’s student name hides on mobile to hold the 8:5 proportion.
